Are you interested in global issues? The East Africa Famine? The empowerment of local Somalian families and women? Attend AMANDA LINDHOUT’s keynote presentation at the 2012 Change Conference February 25th at 7:00 at Glenlyon Norfolk School (801 Bank Street). Come and hear about her remarkable story of capture in Somalia for 15 months, and her recovery and creation of the Global Enrichment Foundation! The Change Conference Organizing Committee has started an initiative linked with one of our service and workshop opportunities, the Out of the Rain Youth Shelter. (http://www.outoftherainvictoria.ca/)
We are asking that delegates bring items to donate on the Friday of the conference. All items will be put in individual packages for street youth who use the shelter. We are asking for:
• Gently used winter jackets
• Gently used warm toques and socks
• New hygiene products such as tooth brushes, tooth paste and soap.
Please keep in mind that this is youth shelter (age 12-18) so we are focused on items tailored to that age group.

Please make cheques out to “The Change Conference” and put the delegate name in the memo line.
The cost for the conference is $30.
Tickets are also available just for the AMANDA LINDHOUT Keynote on Saturday February 25th at 7:00.
